Isn’t this the coolest, most original piece of furniture EVER? I super want one… You just read that statement in a very tame manner, but really in my head I’m whining like a 4-year-old screaming:” I want one, I want one, I WANT ONE!!!!!” Can anybody relate to me? Who on earth doesn’t want one of these? Honestly, I don’t even know where I’d put one in my home, but I’m sure I can make space for it. It’s gorgeous! Jaren & Kelvin Goh – owners and creators of Munkii - are the men behind this wonderful masterpiece. This particular piece is called “Vintage”. Bummer that they’re in Singapore, but they do ship internationally. I’ve never seen a bookcase look so good. My guess is this is the kind of thing you own for your whole lifetime & pass onto your kids for their whole lifetime & by the time your grandkids get it they can sell the thing & buy a Ferrari with the money! Literally. I don’t know exactly how much one of these pieces costs, but I’m sure it’s worth every penny. God: I want one of these in heaven. It wasn’t love at first sight for me though… this Munkii masterpiece was a bit of an acquired taste. My first reaction was: WEIRD! But now I’m in love with it. I honestly can’t remember how I got from weird to in-love, but I’m very happy being in love with it. Maybe it’s like falling in love with your soul mate where some things are just meant to be… LOL! I can’t believe this post has gotten to this point! Let me get back on topic… the bookcases’ silhouette look is so unique, the curves are SO sexy (yes, sexy), the interior maroon/red color & exterior white are just perfect! So stinkin’ creative. I admire your talent Jaren & Kelvin. Totally impressed. Hope you guys sell a gazillion of these become as wealthy as Bill Gates! Good luck to you!
**Special Update** After a little research, I am shocked to announce that this gorgeous bookcase (”Vintage”) sells for only $2,099-$2,299 (price varies because shipping is included & shipping varies). Wow! I was thinking that owning one of these beauties would put you in the whole at least 5 digits. Makes getting one that much more tempting, doesn’t it?
Your post sounds more like cheesy love affair! But I totally agree with you on your taste. Me and my wife loves this to bits as well! Weird. Because I did not grow up believing anyone can ever fall in love with furniture!
It a pity they don’t have distributors in the US but that just makes it more exclusive doesn’t it?
To add to your already over-the-top flattery for this design: i think it is really smart how it looks. Kinda guarantees to fit in most spaces with the dual modern/classic look as well as the clean, negative space architecture. Things like these are gonna stay in the limelight for a long time.
As an interior architect myself, one look at this and I can be pretty sure it is going to cost way above the 4k mark, if the manufacturing/finish is what I think it is. So I doubt they will be expecting a ‘gazillion’ sales!

Wow! I really have my foot in my mouth this time! If the price is below 2,500 like you posted, this is going to be a real steal then. Thanks for posting the price. I have constructed pieces of this magnitude before and the painting alone done by professionals already cost me 1/2 of the price. Perhaps its a launch discount …

The shelf have arrived 2 weeks earlier than expected. And me and the wifey JUST LOVE IT!
I have decided to move it to one of my clientèle apartment for a planned photoshoot and perhaps can submit some photos to you if you want. I guess a professional shoot can only do this piece of art perfect justice.
Hmmm… I can only say it looks as good as the photos on their web and the precision of some of the minute details just make it more delightful. nice piece of work from the makers here!
It’s a bit heavy and require some effort in moving it though. But heavy furniture are long lasting ones!! I hope.

Frankly I have seen enough designs that are forgettable. This however is gonna be THAT piece you haul around to follow you whenever you move.
